If you plan to do business or are already doing business in the Czech RepubliIf you would like to invite a friend, business partner, or someone from your family to the Czech Republic and they do not come from a visa-waiver country, it’s possible to apply for a letter of invitation from the Foreign Police. If you only require one letter of invitation, it can be issued to you while you wait.c, you will need a trade license. However, unless you are a homeowner or the owner of a commercial property, this trade license can only be issued upon obtaining written consent from your landlord (or the property owner) to use their property as your business address.

If you’ve started a business, i.e. have a trade license, you’re liable to register with a public health insurance company and make monthly contributions. This also applies if you’ve recently acquired permanent residence status as a citizen of a third country (non-EU country) and you were not previously eligible to be a part of the public healthcare system.

If you are running a business and need to extend your long-term stay for business purposes, it’s necessary to obtain a confirmation of no debt (also known as a “no-debt certificate” or “certificate of no debt”) from the Czech Financial Office, the Czech Customs Office, the Social Security Office, and from your public health insurance company, all of which must not be older than 30 days on the date you lodge your application with the MOI.

A birth number is a ten-digit number that is divisible by eleven without a remainder. The first two digits represent the last two digits of the year of birth, the second two digits represent the month of birth, increased by 50 for women, and the third two digits represent the day of birth.
