If you are running a business and need to extend your long-term stay for business purposes, it’s necessary to obtain a confirmation of no debt (also known as a “no-debt certificate” or “certificate of no debt”) from the Czech Financial Office, the Czech Customs Office, the Social Security Office, and from your public health insurance company, all of which must not be older than 30 days on the date you lodge your application with the MOI. 

Each of the authorities mentioned above have up to 30 days to process our application, and some of them will take the full 30 days. It’s therefore a good idea to plan accordingly so that we have all the documents in order for when you’re finally ready to submit your dossier to the Ministry. Confirmations of no debt must be submitted to the Ministry as an original or a notarized copy. It’s therefore necessary to obtain a signed and stamped version from the relevant authorities.
